Delotte - When Delotte came to speak they discussed their job and how it related to Internal controls and matrix's. There job revolved around finding ways to improve companies internal controls. They gave us specific situations as to how a company implements internal controls to safeguard their business processes.

Starbucks – Starbucks is a coffee shop chain located in all 52 states. The group discussed the OE/S process controls that Starbucks has initiated in their system. The group also discussed recommended controls. These controls if used should help the particular Starbucks franchise to maintain better internal controls.

Bravo – Bravo is a family owned franchised restaurant. It opened up in 1982. They use biometrics for their employees. Bravo has certain differences between the book and themselves. For instance they do not use passwords. They do not use passwords on their programs because they are such a small company and they say they are not nessasary.

Independent Moving and Storage – This company originated in 1974 in Ferndale Michigan. This company provides moving and packaging, the company has generated customers through repeat customers and networking. This company is very old school, every process is a manual process. There are no computer systems in use in this company.

Sekure Controls – This company has about 2.5 million dollars in sales each year. They produce everything they sell. The system they use is SAGS200. The controls they used in this system are preformmateed screens, edit checks, written approval, they use these because it creates an audit trail and they can compare accounts.
