CoffeeTime is a chain of popular coffee bars in North America and Europe that offers some of the worldfs finest coffee beans and blended beverages. The company has identified India as a prospective location to establish is chain of coffee houses. The following paper will detail the viability of this option with the consideration of statistical data. The following will identify what the results of independent research, consider the limitations of data, desired data, method of obtaining a random sample, make recommendations, and acknowledge data constraints.
Research information
With the information CoffeeTime has already gathered, we know that India is a large country that mixes traditionalism and modernism in its society and business as well. India is very influential in the economics of South Asia with various industries being covered. The Indian government is realizing the importance of economic development through market-oriented approaches. The information provided by Total Access is good, in general, but CoffeeTime needs specifics of each city before making a sound business decision. Basing such an important decision on demographic charts does not suffice as a decision breaker. (See charts 1 and 2) Unfortunately, in this case, the information giving such specifics was only available after the cities were chosen by CoffeeTIme for secondary research. Another consideration CoffeeTime needed to take into account was the expense of the study.
