The objective of this case study is to access a selected organization’s current position of their business operations and recommendation of knowledge management strategy to further improve the business operations.
The organization is selected from a real working environment; however the name has been changed to BS Systems, Malaysia for academic representations. The analysis and recommendation is primarily for academic purpose only.
1. Executive Summary
This report study the need of Information and Knowledge Management to address the current operation problems, backlogs that cause customer dissatisfaction, revenue losses and potential challenges that may lead BS System’s business to a questionable sustainability and growth.
Report analyzes the external customer’s feedback on the inconsistency of order processing and delivery services that had cause major impact in their (customers) business, the drastic measures on order cancellation that depletes 10% the total revenue in 2007. Internal findings indicates the current operation process is exhausting all division resources but the volume of strategic information is not sufficient or available for Business Account Managers to support business decisions and hence affect the pace of the operation which leads to inconsistency and backlogs.
