Daimler Chrysler started in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany and Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA, they are a prominent automobile, truck manufacturer and financial services provider. The company also owns a major stake in aerospace group European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS). DaimlerChrysler was formed in 1998 by the merger of Daimler-Benz which headquartered in Germany and the Chrysler Corporation which was originated in the USA.
The company produces cars and trucks under the brands Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz, Smart, and Maybach. The Chrysler Group also provides its customers with parts and accessories marketed under the Mopar brand name.

Daimler Chrysler has also taken an economy of the mechanical parts of the car such as the engine where the company holds a stake in Detroit Diesel, Hemi engine and Mopar.
Daimler Chrysler is also a joint venture of Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance alongside Mitsubishi Motors, and Hyundai Motor Company for developing a line of shared engines. The company also offers its own financial services which include Daimler Chrysler Bank and Daimler Chrysler financial services.
