Unreasonable Reality
Sometimes I wonder if men realize just exactly what they’re asking of women. Most men expect women to cook, clean, and do other household chores. On top of that, we’re supposed to maintain our figure and raise the children. If women are constantly trying to fulfill these standards, then how are women supposed to squeeze any fun into our lives? Therefore, I believe that men tend to have unreasonable expectations for women.
Typically, a male believes that the female should be a domestic maid which entails doing all of the cleaning, cooking, and laundry. The definition of a maid is a female servant. This stereotype is portrayed on the popular television shows Family Guy and That 70’s Show. For example, in the show Family Guy, Peter Griffin is constantly yelling at Louis to cook him dinner and finish the laundry. Besides expecting women to do all of the chores, men also expect them to be performed flawlessly; however, men can’t even remember to put down the toilet seat. Every male dreams about dating a woman who has the perfect body; however, sometimes the prettiest people have the ugliest personalities. The problem occurs when men only focus on the outward appearance as opposed to seeing woman’s inner beauty. Men look at the media and then judge women according to the photo shopped bimbos they see. Due to the fact that those photos have been digitally enhanced, it’s impossible to look anything like them. On the popular television show, Family Guy, Peter always compares Lois to the women in magazines....
