FedEx provides a broad portfolio of transportation, e-commerce and business services through companies competing collectively, operating independently and managed collaboratively, under the respected FedEx brand. These operating companies are primarily represented by
- FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company;
- FedEx Ground, a leading provider of small-package ground delivery services;
- FedEx Freight Corporation, a leading U.S. provider of less-than-truckload (“LTL”) freight services; and
- FedEx Kinko’s, a leading provider of document solutions and business services.
These companies represent the major service lines and form the core of FedEx Corporation reportable segments.
Therefore, FedEx Corporation has a consolidated balance sheet, a consolidated income statement, a statement of comprehensive income, and consolidated cash flow statement. The consolidated balance sheet of FedEx Corporation shows its assets which include its current assets, property, equipment, and more. The balance sheet also shows FedEx Corporation’s liabilities and shareowners’ equity which includes current liabilities, long-term debt, and different aspects of the shareowners’ equity. On FedEx Corporation’s consolidated income statement it has their revenues, different operating expenses, operating profit, earnings per share, and more. On the company’s statement of comprehensive income its net income is shown. This statement also shows changes in the foreign currency adjustment, unrealized loss or gain marketable securities and cash flow hedges, and the minimum pension liability. It finishes off with the comprehensive income. On the consolidated cash flow it shows company’s net income, cash flow from operating, investing and financing activities, cash and its equivalents, and cash that FedEx Corporation paid during the accounting period.
