Living in a City
LIVING IN THE CITY IS BETTER THAN LIVING IN THE COUNTRY

There are many ways how and where to live. Everybody can choose the place, where he would like to live. Some people prefer living in the city and other prefer living in the village, but what is really the best for us?
First of all we should define our terms of reference.`Village` means a group of houses with a church, school and some shops in the countryside and `city´ means a place, where people live and work and it contains many houses, shops, places of entertaiment, etc.

Living in the city brings to everybody a lot of advantages. In city you have a lot of sport, cultural and education opportunities. Young people get more education and knowledge in town than in the country and also when they want to get a job, they will easier find it in a city. Very often young people from the countryside move to the city just because they cannot find a job in their birth place. Very big problem is also that in countryside are no hospitals and if people are sick, they have always to travel to a town.
In city you can find more opportunities for everything because it is bigger and has more inhabitants than a village. It has also shopping centers, swimming pools, tennis courts, cinemas, night clubs, pubs, restaurants and a lot of other places, where we can have fun.

However living in the city has also its bad sides. In town are pollution, traffic jams and noise. There is so many buildings that there is no trees, flowers and fresh air. Many citiziens go on a countryside for a weekend just because they want fresh air, peace and quiet.
The next disadvantage are prices. In city is everything more expensive than in a village and there is not home-grown food but mostly junk food. The most serious problem of a town is a high level of criminality. Of course, you can also find criminality in a village but there is not so much pickpockets, thieves, murderers and drug dealers than in a town.

Generally living in the country offers a lot of advantages, but my opinion is, that there are more disadvantages, because living in a village is more difficult than in a city.
Villagers have less opportunities for education, they harder find a job and they have to drive in a nearest town, which is sometimes far away, so I think that living in the city is better than living in the country. Therefore the statement is true.

There are many differences between living in the city or in a country setting, but the country setting has many more advantages over the city. The air and water quality and other environment factors are improved in the country setting. The school system is safer and less crowded in a rural setting. The roads are not loaded with traffic and taxis. The country is safer than the city and crime rates are lower. In the country, there is an abundance of trees and vegetation. Many families and individuals find themselves at some point questioning the advantages of city living versus country living. It is nearly impossible to find a good answer to this question. What is good for one person might not be good for another. Some people enjoy the busy, hyper active metropolitan city where they can use all amenities and have unlimited opportunities for work and leisure. At the same time, other people feel the urge to be closer to Mother Nature, relaxation, beauty, and peace. They take pleasure in living in the calm and peaceful environment of the countryside and spending their free time fishing, hiking, picking berries in the woods, or playing in the creek. In my opinion, the nature of urban and rural life style and the effect it has on people is the most important difference between living in the city and living in the country. I feel fortunate to have grown up in the rural area. I would never trade my memories of playing in the creek, riding four wheelers, or climbing trees all within a short walk from my house. Health, education, and transportation are three major concerns that need to be considered. While city life can bring more opportunities in these cases, country life can provide the best of both worlds.…

Thirdly, the convenience in the city is better than the convenience in the country. It is easy to make more friends because people living in city are more friendly and happier with their friends. Life in the city is challenging. Shopping is convenient everywhere you go you will easily find big and convenient stores. The presence of public transportation reduces the demand for private transportation which is the source of traffic gem. But there are a lot of facilities where you can spend you free time; cinemas, drama theatres, ski resorts etc. We have to remember that city life costs high and gives you much stress. Worst of all, the most expensive component of life in the city is the toll it takes on your body through stress. Also in big cities the air is not healthy. Smokes that go from massive number of cars and factors threaten our health. Another disadvantage of city is crime. Many people become the victims of crime and again they get stressed.…
