Exclusion: 9 articles were excluded (Blanchard, 2004; Connolly, Fitzpatrick, Gallagher, Harris, 2006; Connolly, Fitzpatrick, Gallagher, Harris, 2006; Aase, Sagvolden, 2006; Molesworth, Catherine J.; Bowler, Dermot M.; Hampton, James A.. Journal of Child Psychology & Psychiatry, 2005; Punamaki, Raija, Muhammed, Abdulrahman, 2004; Green, Cillessen, Berthelsen, Irving, 2003; Hadwin, Donnelly, French, Richards, Watts, Daley, 2003; Steele, Steele, Croft, Fonagy, Peter, 99; Leiss, Savitz, David, 95; Wu & Seana, 2005) were excluded because some were not related to research question, nor primary or the sample used was irrelevant.

Inclusion: 5 articles (Hapkicwicz,Roden, Kelly, 2006; Neeley, Schumann, 2004; Gunter, Harrison, 97; Greenfield & et al., 90; Ruble, Davidson,yasuna,tower) were included because they were relevant primary sources.

1. Grouping of articles: The studies are divided into three groups; one group was about the effect of cartoons on stereo-typing, the second group was about the effect of cartoons on playing and the last group was the effect of using cartoons in advertising....
