In order to stay afloat in Hong Kong's highly competitive business environment, a company needs the best technology to support their business goals. That's why Li & Fung Retailing turned to Microsoft Certified Solution Provider, EXE Technologies Inc. to improve the flow of goods to the more than 115 Circle K Convenience Stores it runs and supplies.

Deploying EXceed, EXE's highly functional supply chain execution technology powered by Microsoft SQL Server database management system, Li & Fung achieved its goals of improving the accuracy, efficiency and visibility of its stock and inventory at a centralized distribution center. Now the company has stronger control over time management and product delivery schedules, and out-of-stocks have been measurably reduced.

Circle K Convenience Stores are part of the Li & Fung Retailing Group, one of Hong Kong's most respected small grocery retail and distribution companies. It operates a modern 12,000 square foot distribution center, located in the Kwai Chung container port, which supplies more than 2,000 SKU items to approximately 115 convenience stores throughout Hong Kong.

On a typical business day, some 50 pallets arrive at the company's distribution center and an average of 200 roll cages are dispatched to regional convenience stores. The Center utilizes a 4,000 square foot loading bay and turns over its stock an average of 30 times each year....
