To Secretary of Treasury,

I affirm my actions to having Andrew Jackson being placed on the $20 dollar bill because he is the essential part of America that has made it what it is today. President Jackson was considered the common man of the 17th century he did everything in his power to give the people a voice and redefine American soil in a positive direction where we had nearly paid off national debt and had surplus in economy. His ways may have been radical which such systems as the rotation but the results were prosperous some may say the federal government was deteriorating at a pace with someone like Jackson running as head but we as people should grant with the respect of being on the $20 dollar bill as a thank you. Jackson represents the hard working male, which put him at popularity; above all other presidents besides a candidate such as Barack Obama, Jackson put his popularity into presidential powers. He went against the constitution by vetoing the bill, rechartering the second national bank, or his actions in removing individuals within the cabinet, all modes that made Jackson in imprint in the American history, which are in fact the criteria to being on the currency note such as the $20 dollar bill. Andrew Jackson was very important to our nation, if he had not been president at the time he was, our nation would be the Almost United States of America because South Carolina wouldn’t be a state. Secondly, without Jackson, there might not even be a twenty dollar bill. Nicholas Biddle would have made a national bank, only lending to the wealthy and we would probably have 20 Biddle bills that said, “In Biddle we trust” on them. Finally, without Andrew Jackson, the west would not have expanded the way it did. Andrew Jackson was known for defying a Supreme Court decision to protect the Indians living in Georgia. Any other president would have backed down from that and the Indians would have stayed to fight us another day. To be on the American currency...
