1.0 Introduction
Leadership is an important aspect for organisational learning, business effectiveness, community development, project’s quality and stakeholder satisfaction. There is a strong link between influence and effective leadership. Leadership efficiently integrates and co-ordinates resources across organisation through influencing employee attitudes and behaviors.
Transformational leadership theory focuses on the development and empowerment of followers to function independently such that the leader is one who empowers followers, and motivates them to perform beyond their expectations and work on breakthrough and collective goals instead of solely on personal interests.
Charismatic leadership possess “special personality characteristic that gives a person superhuman or exceptional powers and is reserved for few, is divine origin and results in the person being treated as a leader.”

Charismatic leader are strong role model for the beliefs and values they declared. They appear competent, focus on ideological, moral goals, communicate high expectation for followers and exhibit confidence in follower’s ability to meet this expectation. Charismatic leaders tend to have profound and unusual effects on followers.

The fifteen articles selected were relevant and interesting such that it provides a clear understanding of how Charismatic/Transformational leadership behaviours impact a leader’s influence on employee’s performance and organisational level results.
