Describe the proposal/change. (10 points)
The proposal change will help the consumer easily compare different lenders in seeing the apple to apple prices. It will also deter the high settlement costs incurred by the purchaser in a real estate transaction. The problem now is that the consumer is confused by all the different numbers and may choose the wrong lender because only the simple and good numbers were shown and the hidden costs were truly hidden. This will cause the consumer to see a better Good Faith Estimate and be able to see all costs incurred.
