"The problem of obesity is so staggering , so out of contro, that we have to do something" (David Barboza Paragraph 8). According to Weintraub, he states that parents aren't being responsible of raising their children properly and teaching them bad eating habits. Parents think it's best to satisfy their kids by buying food that their kids will enjoy. In order to make up for the time they havent been with their children. I agree with Weintraub, because many parents are not responsible for their children, are simply just too lazy to teach their children good eating habits, and are making their children more physically active.
Most parents are not responsible for their children, they tend to let them do what ever they want, just simply to satisfy their children. To make up for the time they are not with their kids, most parents work long excrusiciting hours and tend to work over timein order to have food on the table for their family. By the time they get out of work they try to debauch by tireness and stress in which the parent is mentally and physically tired, In order to for the parent to gain rest they let their kidsdo what ever they want. "Its the fault of the parents who let their kids eat unhealthy food and sit in front of the television or computer for hours at a time,"(Daniel Weintraub Paragraph 5).Parents are so tired that they are to lazy to sometimes make food. So then they take the family out to eat at a fast food joint. "A whooping 73% go out and eat with their families on weekend,"(Sheila Cohn Paragraph 2) Many parents may say : I am a good parent I satisfy my children by awarding them by going out and giving the joy they want "A Happy Meal" once they are happy I am happy and it brings the family even closer.
