Kudler Fine Foods Customer Loyalty Program
Thomas Bingeman
University of Phoenix
Everywhere someone shops, they will generally see a rewards program being offered by that store. Most of these organizations do not offer an online version of their program which can limit the ability for everyone to take advantage of the program. With the advent of the Internet, selling products online has become an important part of doing business worldwide. By not taking the rewards program online, the business can lose customers when those customers are unable to get to the store to get the products they need. This paper will give Kudler Fine Foods a general idea of how to set up their program to reach many more shoppers in their area along with the ability to branch out to other areas of the country.
When you have your rewards program online along with in the store you have more aspects to deal with. You must be able to have a database of your customers available to be accessed by your website and have your website secured. One way of making your website secure is by implementing the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol so your customers know that the login information that they are supplying is sent via encrypted channels on the internet. The signup for these incentive programs must be simple as most users will not want to have to fill out pages of information just to be able to shop on your site. They will also want to be able to see the status of their account and how far they are from their next reward as soon as they log in. The user will also want to be able to see what rewards are available to them throughout their participation in the program that is set forth for them.
In conclusion, customer loyalty programs are a great way to increase profits by retaining customers longer, must be tailored to the needs of the customer who is participating in the program, and, in the case of online programs, must be able to use the site...
