Purpose
Kudler’s Fine Foods is known for their organic and specialty foods. Each store is divided into five different departments; fresh bakery, pastries, produce, meat, seafood, condiments, packaged foods, cheeses and specialty dairy products. Their mission is “to provide their customer the finest in selected foodstuffs, wines, and related needs in an unparalleled consumer environment.” (Apollo Group Inc., 2007)
Over the years Kudler’s Fine Foods have experienced tremendous increase in growth and is now looking to expand their services to the customers. Improving the current services will improve the customer purchase cycle and can both beneficial for Kudler as well as the customers in terms of increasing profitability.
Currently, the current company website only shows the company business hour, location (including map), and a brief description of each departments. To stay competitive with other competitors or similar businesses certain modification will be needed, such as:
(a) Modification on the current website
(b) Implementing E-commerce
Some of the advantages in implementing E-commerce are:
(a) Help create new relationship opportunities to potential customers.
(b) Implementing e-commerce means “open business 24/7”
(c) Increases brand and product awareness by reaching out to more customers
(d) Establishes customer loyalty by making purchase easier (online store front)
(e) Increased company profits and cuts cost
