Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis (July 28, 1929 – May 19, 1994) was the wife of John F. Kennedy from 1953 to 1963 and was known as Jacqueline Kennedy or Jackie Kennedy. She served as First Lady of the United States from 1961 until her husband's assassination in 1963. She was married to Aristotle Onassis from 1968 until his death in 1975, and was known as Jacqueline Onassis, Jackie Onassis, or more informally as Jackie O. In later years she had a successful career as a book editor.

Let’s take a short review of her biography. She was born Jacqueline Lee Bouvier, daughter of John Vernon Bouvier III and his wife, Janet Lee. She spent her early years in between New York City and East Hampton, Long Island, where she learned to ride almost as soon as she could walk. Because of her eminent background, she had a lucky and happy childhood. Educated at the best of private schools, she wrote poems and stories, drew illustrations for them, and studied ballet when she was young. Her mother married Hugh D. Auchincloss in 1942 after divorce and brought her two girls to "Merrywood". They dwelled in his home near Washington, D.C., spending summers at his estate in Newport, Rhode Island. Jacqueline made her debutante in the 1947-1948 season, and gain remarkable social success. But she did not stop her schooling. She loved traveling. As a Vassar student, she spent her junior year in France before graduating from George Washington University. With these experiences, she had the chances to descend into the people of foreign countries, especially the French.
