Keeping the Environment Clean

We are supposed to take care of this planet, but are we doing so? We are not doing much. The little effort put into recycling or other small things is not enough. We must make severe changes, especially with all the gas consumption for cars or all the fuel smokes from industries that affect our environment. This must stop now! The rate of global warming is increasing rapidly and we must slow it down before it is too late. We must take action now and save our world.

The atmosphere is something that is around us everyday, but do we really think about the changes that occur in it. It isn't that we just aren't paying attention, but more of the fact that it is hard to notice slight changes over long periods of time. Even though the causes of global warming are known, the exact effects it will have on us in the future are yet to be determined. We, the people need to understand that we need to act now in order to keep the world as we now know it the same in the future.

Many scientists believe that humans cause the increase in temperature. Carbon dioxide is the most important gas that humans have contributed. We also have methane, nitrous oxide, water vapor and other harmful gases.
If the climate changes, then it will mean we have to change how we produce our food. Rising sea levels could also affect us. It could cause flooding of coastal areas; wash beaches away, cover the agricultural land fields, and push millions of people out of their homes.

In order to stop this global warming from happening so soon, there are many things that can be done by everyone. The first thing that needs to be done is cut the amount of carbon dioxide by half the amount. This can be done by three ways. The first way is by conserving energy. Learning to use energy wisely can do energy conservation. Making smaller, more fuel-efficient cars

Global warming is becoming a huge problem in our world. Some people may say that there is no such thing as global warming, but just last week it was 70 degrees in November in Ohio. As the world slowly becomes warmer, the effects of global warming will soon be irreversible. Here we are enjoying the warm weather and going for an afternoon jog in our summer clothes, but the problem is that we aren’t afraid of what could happen to our own planet earth in the future. Also, this generation thinks that we won’t be around when global warming harms us and the earth, so why should we have to worry about finding a cure to global warming? Because of this these people aren’t cleaning up the earth.…

Some things that can be done to fight global warming are purchasing energy efficient vehicles. Try to get the least polluting vehicle. Try to drive less. People can carpool or maybe take public transportation. Purchasing energy efficient appliances. In conclusion , if people would understand that this is an extremely important issue I think that they would take the necessary steps to avoid this issue from going any further and ultimately damaging the environment. I personally think that this should start at the school level. There needs to be increases…

Another way that humans cause global warming is by deforestation, which lowers the amount of oxygen being produced and carbon dioxide being consumed because there are less plants to facilitate these processes. This increases carbon dioxide emissions and this release of carbon dioxide heats the atmosphere. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, when carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere, it absorbs infrared photons rising from the surface and re-emits them back towards the surface. This creates a constant heat loop which essentially heats the Earth because heat can not escape the atmosphere.…

There are all these campaigns for us to combat global warming and reduce our emissions, we have all the science to maybe not stop it but effectively reduce it to stable conditions. It is evident that the temperatures and sea levels are rising and this proves global warming is out there; but it still doesn’t make a difference we still do nothing because…

They include things such as overall property and infrastructure damage. This happens due to raised sea levels which lead to flooding, wild forest fires, fluctuating electric issues and many others that affect home, government power lines, railroads, sea bearing vehicles and many more. Another thing in our economy that it affects is our crops. With the heating of the earth’s surface, many of the individual type of climates around the world are going through periods of fluctuation and change, especially those around the poles due to the rapid heating due to this heating. With this in mind, farmers and scientists are having to compensate financially for such issues and spend money on cooling systems and other devices meant to bring equilibrium to a farm. Raising the price for farming not only makes it harder for the farmers, but also for the consumer because that raises the price of crops. The economy suffers in this regard as…

However, to every problem, there is a solution. Firstly, scientists at Oak Ridge Laboratory in Tennessee have figured a way to convert carbon dioxide into ethanol. Ethanol is a harmless fuel that is used in cars in order for their movement. To add, this process is not expensive and can be applied to many nuclear power plants. This change could avert the crisis in a great way. Secondly, the common people could make a change to help avert climate change. One idea is to plant numerous trees. Trees can take in carbon dioxide for it’s own needs and releases oxygen so that our air can be a little cleaner. Secondly, recycling can help because the recycled items take less energy to manufacture. Thirdly, turning off the water when not in use can help the cause to avert climate change as well as fixing leaky faucets or broken toilets. To sum up, global warming can be averted in non-expensive…

First, there are many causes to global warming. One of the main causes is carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels. Did you know that 40% of U.S. CO2 Emissions come from electricity production, and burning coal accounts for 93% of emissions from the electric utility industry? Another cause is methane which is also ranking right behind carbon dioxide. This means that not only is our planet being destroyed by something we rely on, rather it be electricity or gas for our cars, but many people use these for everyday uses causing our planet to be destroyed.…

Some people are constantly worried about our environment and thinking of help save it.Global warming is no longer a speculation,it is happening all over us.The temperatures are rising, and so are the sea levels. Glaciers are vanishing and the arctic ice is melting. If we don’t reduce our carbon footprint, soon (the next 50-100 years) almost all coastal cities and island nations will be under water and the inlands will be hit by long-lasting droughts.…

We have polluted the atmosphere, contaminated the soil and water and destroyed the habitats of several species leading to their extinction. Climate change is now a accepted reality. As per scientists, the global average temperatures have already increased by 0.8oC and if we continue with our current emission patterns we will continue to have rising sea levels and reseeding coastlines. Countries need to integrate their efforts and look beyond political boundaries and work towards solutions that will bring change.…

In the recent years there has been a significant rise in people's concern for the environment. We all affect the natural environment, but we are often are unaware of how much we affect it. There is no part of the earth that does not remain affected by our actions. Our actions are now threatening the health of our planet, the land we live and work on, the water supply, the ozone layer, the animal species as well as the health of our species. With this it is easy to say "The problem is too great and what can we do now?" Well, we can first remember and believe that we can make a difference. We can start with making a commitment to do a few things to save our environment.…

“It is now clear that we face a deepening global climate crisis that requires us to act boldly, quickly, and wisely,” said Al Gore. I agree with this. As we can see in our daily life, the temperature is now different from what we used to be. Like, If it is summer, there is no rain, but now, even if it is summer, there still a rain. We really need to do something about this, at least we start at something small, by this it can help the earth in little way and slowly our old environment will be back. All we need to do is to be united on what to do to help our environment.…

Many scientists believe that Global warming will have a massive effect on the climate and weather on our planet. This could happen one of two ways. The first is that an increase in temperature will cause polar ice caps to melt. If the Earth 's major ice caps were to melt, sea level would be raised anywhere from 7-14 meters (Ramanathan, 4). This would result in severe flooding. For example, the entire bottom section of Florida would disappear completely. A second way Global Warming could turn is that a temperature increase will cause evaporation and clouding, which would lower the earth 's temperature and eventually result in an ice age(Ramanathan, 5). If either of these scenarios were to occur, the repercussions would be tragic to the entire planet and everything living on it.…
