Shakespeare’s characters have become icons in modern cultures and are instantly recognizable when their names are spoken of. These characters feel so alive and real to the audience that they can relate to the situation and the audience can picture themselves in the characters shoes. In fact, our youth can relate to many of Shakespeare’s characters, in particular, Romeo and Juliet.
