-opening and closing the store-

This first week i learned how to open and close the store. To open the store, the first thing you do is go get the numbers from the previous day.
The numbers are upstairs in the mail rooom in the BCBG mailbox. The sheet that has your total numbers tells you the total amount of sales and
returns there were in $ form and your net profit. Then you go record your numbers in the ledger for the store. Then you call in the numbers to the district manager.
Then you proceed to fill out the daily planner. Then you turn on the register and let it load. Then i had to enter my id and password to start the open. The cash drawer opens and you have
to count how much money there is total. There has to be $125 or you're considered short. If it is ever short you have to tell the cash office. Next you open the store on the BCBG laptop.
You have to enter your id and password and hit open. The last thing you do before the store offically opens is to make the floor look neat (if it isnt already). After that you're
ready to open.

To close the store you have to start at 8 or 8:30 depending on how clean or dirty the floor is and how many put backs you have. After all fitting rooms are empty and the put backs are done,
you can start fixing the racks. You have to make them neat and orderly. You also have to then go rack by rack and size all the merchandise. Then you go to close the computer.
Like when you open, you enter your id and password. Then the cash drawer opens and you count the total amount of money in the drawer and enter it in the computer. Then the computer automatically
tells you how much to take out to leave $125. You put all the money taken out in an envelope to bring upstairs to the cash office. Then you can power off the computer. Also
you have to staple all your receipts together and bring those up as well. Then you close out and sign out of the bcbg laptop and wait for it to start...
