December 14, 2013 The Assignation of JFK and the Conspiracy Theory
November 22, 1963 was an unforgettable day in American history. On this day the thirty-fifth President of the United States, John F. Kennedy (JFK), was assassinated in Dallas, Texas while he rode in an open limousine with Texas Governor John Conally (Wicker, 1963). He received fatal head wounds caused by one of the bullets from the shooting. Lee Harvey Oswald (Oswald), the only person ever formally accused of the assassination, ran away from the Texas Book Depository where he worked, and was stopped for questioning by a police official.

A few agencies are the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) and the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB), plus some government researchers have recently challenged the Warren Commission 's conclusions in favor of something a little more open to the possibility of a cover-up (Lardner, 2001). All three of these government groups came to the conclusion that a conspiracy indeed had existed in the assassination of President Kennedy. Mutually the ARRB and the HSCA used the word "conspiracy", and the study led by government scientists concluded that there was a ninety-six percent chance of multiple shooters (Lardner, 2001). In reference they all use the Zapruder film, the unprofessional taping of the assassination, in addition to other government reports made by the Church Commission (Senate Select Committee to Study Government Operations with Respect to Intelligence Agencies) and the Rockefeller Commission (Commission to Investigate Central Intelligence Agency Activities Within the United States). In which all of the commissions concluded that some form of conspiracy transpired in 1964. Mutually, the FBI and the CIA "failed to communicate all relevant information to the [Warren] Commission"(Lardner, 2001). With all of the inconsistency with the Warren Commission it seems extremely possible that President John Kennedy was shot and killed by several …show more content…
Many of the Warren Commission supporters claim they can find no motive for why a conspiracy would have taken place, but in disagreement, the Warren Commission has never presented an actual motive for either killer. In fact, there are many reasons why powerful groups would have wanted to kill President Kennedy as mentioned throughout this report. More information that pertains to the assassination of JFK, which has been secured by the government and unavailable to the public, will someday be available for one to possibly research thoroughly. In fact that time will be in 2030 and the United States government is required to release all remaining documents pertaining to the assassination (Murphy, 2001.). If the entire government, spearheaded by the CIA killed Kennedy, then they would not ever acknowledge it. Many other popular theories present good logical reasoning for why a good government cover-up would be in order.
As a final point, the last possibility is the government does not know who assassinated JFK. In order to project the appearance of being in control of the situation, they accused the Communist Russian, Lee Harvey Oswald. Even today, the government could possibly be using the time to find out who it was or make up a genuinely believable story. Regardless, there are numerous explanations as to why the government would assist in a

The film ‘JFK’, directed by Oliver Stone, explores the exploits of the heroic Jim Garrison and his controversial investigation into the assassination of the president John F. Kennedy in 1963. Oliver Stone’s film ‘JFK’ presents a particular view and interpretation of the circumstances surrounding the assassination. The film insinuates that there was a large conspiracy involving the CIA, FBI, the military-industrial complex, anti-Castro Cubans, the Dallas Police and the mafia. The film provides limited usefulness to a historian studying the assassination of the late President Kennedy.…

    JFK LONE GUNMAN

It is a well-known fact that President John F Kennedy was shot dead, assassinated in Dealey Plaza on the 22nd of November, 1963. What is still debated today however, is who killed Kennedy, and how many people were involved. One of the main contributing factors to this debate is the amount of potential forensic evidence destroyed, the question of how reliable some of the evidence is (, mainly eye-witness accounts), and the evidence that is yet to be released to the public (, why is it locked up, what light can it shed on the event?). Due to many problems surrounding the very evidence that historians, politicians and common people alike draw their opinions from, there can be no definitive conclusion as to whether JFK was killed by a lone gunman, or even who is ultimately responsible for his death. The evidence recovered on the assassination of JFK largely supports the theory of a lone gunman, the identity of this gunman however, is still hotly debated, but a significant portion of all evidence released to the public points to the lone gunman theory. The way this evidence supports the lone gunman theory is varied. Several eye witnesses claim…

I believe that our own government was the people responsible for the assassination of JFK. I know it is a very farfetched idea but in my opinion, based on the facts I learned, it seems to make the most sense to me. JFK was definitely not the best president. He was a womanizer and made some very bad decisions during his presidency. I think the government was worried that JFK would do something very bad that would make the citizens not only mad him, but at the government as well. Worried about this reason, I believe the government decided to determinate the problem before it…

The Lone Gunman theory is the official explanation for the John F. Kennedy’s assassination, as arrived at by the Warren Commission after a review of the available evidence. The Warren Commission had stated this in the report of JFK’s assassination, “The bullets that killed Kennedy and injured Connally were fired by Oswald in three shots from a rifle pointed out of a sixth-floor window in the Texas School Book Depository.” According to this theory, JFK’s assassination involved a single gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald. The two bullet fragments found in the front seat of the Presidential limousine were fired from the 6.5-millimeter Mannlicher-Carcano rifle, which was found on the sixth floor of the Depository Building. Oswald had later on killed the police officer that had caught him and tried to question him which gave the public and government more of a reason to believe he was the assassinator of JFK.…

His brother Robert Kennedy, who served as Attorney General during the Kennedy administration broke down on organized crime. One theory declares that the Mob was ireful with attempts by Robert. The mafia had no real interest in John F. Kennedy. Maybe his brother Robert, but not the President.Alliance between the Soviet Union and US were extremely low at the time of Kennedy's death, with both sides not able to trust each other. One popular theory is that Nikita Khrushchev, the Soviet Premier, instructed the attack on Kennedy because he was abashed at having to give up following the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 gave very good reasons not to like Kennedy to the Soviet security agency KGB. A version of the theory also suggests…

President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 at Dallas TX. The police thought that Lee Harvey Oswald, but many people speculate that he was part of a bigger conspiracy or that he wasn’t even the killer. The government released an investigation team called the Warren Commission. What leads a lot of these theories is that the Warren Commission ignored important information. On the day of the shooting, as the motorcade came down the street, three shots coming from the sixth floor at the Texas School Book Depository ( where Oswald worked) in less than 10 seconds. This is when Kennedy died. Within 15 minutes of the crime, there was a description of Oswald given to the police and…

There are many people that don’t accept the conclusion that the Warren Commission came to. In fact, a poll taken by CBS in 1993 found that only 11 percent of people thought that Oswald acted alone compared to 49 percent that thought the CIA was involved with the assassination (Morley 4). In 1978, an important report came out that gave the world even more reason to not believe the Warren Commission. The House Select Committee on Assassinations stated that it was likely Kennedy was assassinated as part of a conspiracy in a report that was released in 1978. It concluded this could mean multiple shooters and organized crime (“John F. Kennedy assassinated”).…

Sitting in my bedroom late one Saturday night, a cable channel is airing another assassination show on President Kennedy. It is the 50th anniversary of the assassination and this one, like many other documentaries before and after it, claims that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman and that he killed President John F. Kennedy with a surplus rifle that he bought. As a child I can remember my mom and dad talking about the assassination and who they thought killed the president. At the time, I never thought about it much but as I grew older I always wondered why it was just a given thing in our household, that there was a conspiracy. Never once was it said that Oswald killed Kennedy. My parents always believed there had been a conspiracy and a cover up of that same conspiracy. So it is no wonder, that I too would think that Oswald was not the lone gunman. My mother was always the one to believe that the Mafia was the one who had the President assassinated. On the other hand, my father had his money on Lyndon Baines Johnson or LBJ. Power and greed could make a good man go bad he always said and Johnson was far from being a good man. Known in Texas for his dirty politics it wasn’t hard to believe LBJ’s hands were not clean. Over the years, their theories changed somewhat and actually combined into one. Oswald was always a patsy, who was not smart enough to have planned and executed the assassination plot. Jack Ruby was a low man in the Mafia that was expendable and LBJ and his connections had President Kennedy assassinated. Fifty years ago an injustice was done to the American public few could talk about and even fewer could imagine. Our president was killed and replaced by one and the same man, LYNDON BAINES JOHNSON.…
