James

THE J FILES

It’s miraculous, it’s fantastic, and it will solve all your problems!

Every day we are inundated with extravagant claims as we flick TV channels, browse magazines surf web sites. Products that make promises to change our lives!

Whiter teeth, glamorous hair, tastier healthier food, better abs and more success.

But talk is cheap. And too often we soon realise that just like before, these products with promises delivered hollow results – that were far from the truth.

Christians also make great claims: Jesus is the answer to all your problems, Believe in God and find peace, Come to church and meet great people!

Too often we also are guilty of great claims that are belied by our actions.

Possessing all the right answers, we contradict the gospel with our lives.

The book of James confronts this issue head on! It’s not enough to talk the Christian Faith, we must live it!

James 2:14 “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?

The proof of the reality of our faith in Jesus is a changing life! If you’re not changing, you’re not saved! (Just a thought)

Genuine faith will inevitably produce good deeds!

Tonight we have a real treat for our PenCC family. Titled the J Files.
