Course Description
The important technological issues of computing are presented. The emphasis is on the impact of technology on the organization. Topics include information awareness, decision architecture, and internal knowledge dissemination. Case studies of major worldwide companies will be discussed, focusing on the idea that technology by itself played only a secondary role to the success of these companies. A company's ability to quickly process information and make effective and efficient decisions is key to survival. Students will be expected to perform research in the above areas.

Student Objectives
After successfully completing this course, a student should be able to:
1. Explain why management students should be involved in information decisions.
2. Discuss the Information Systems strategy triangle and apply it to real-life companies.
3. Define the organizational impact of IS use.
4. Analyze the strategic use of information resources.
5. Discuss e-business and analyze its impact on organizations.
6. List the main concepts and principles of Knowledge Management and define how it fits into the Information hierarchy.
7. List the main concepts and principles of Project Management and define how it applies to IS strategy.
8. Evaluate the use of Knowledge Management and Project Management principles to case studies.
9. Discuss the ethical utilization of information and apply those concepts to case studies.
