The Island

In 2005, a movie seeming so real came to theaters that had people questioning the thought of human cloning.   That movie was The Island directed by Michael Bay who had also done a great job conducting other science-fiction movies, but by far this depicts futuristic ways through the most compelling and believable scenes.   This movie can be put into many different genres for its fast paced, action packed realization of scientific discoveries brought to life in the mid-21st century.   The Island can be categorized more towards the science fiction realm of genre for its fantasy portrayed life that ranges into far-fetched scientific facts and principles.   The entire movie is based upon the impact of imagined science towards individuals and the so-called “society” they live in.   While this film is portrayed as science fiction, it is highly debatable and more than likely probable.   There are advancements in technology that provide us with the ability to clone humans and animals.   We have taken the step in cloning, but only through the morals of the scientific community have we stopped the process of cloning a human.   Supposedly, this is true in nature, but questionable in theory.   It is known that other nation’s philosophies do not always match up with the general scientific circles.  
The Island is the kind of movie almost entirely devoted to the explanation of its own premise and takes some time, because the premise is complicated (Scott par.1).  
Wealthy individuals have the option to have their bodies cloned in order to insure that they will have replacement parts if they were to be needed.   While this sounds like a great medical advancement in theory, the reality is the "insurance policies" of these affluent people are actual living, breathing, and feeling human beings who have to be murdered in order for the original person to have their replacement body part (Rainbow par.1).   The Island depicts much technological advancement that could possibly occur with the...
