Kethy is caused by all the interest he has in her and his openness to her in his essays.   Of course, she ignores all warning signs, she’s curious to see what he’s about.   Especially, what he wants with her.   There is a chance something bad can happen to her in the future, but odds are nothing will.
Innocent?   Yes I do believe he was innocent of the crimes he so called committed.   Why would he be let off of death row, if otherwise?   His time didn’t make him dangerous to society.   Maybe it seems that way because society are the people who made him “guilty.”   Insane, oh hell yes!   Now just imagine sitting in a 6ft 11in by 9ft room, all day every day.   Counting the days until your own death, and the worst part knowing you were innocent.   Kind of plays tricks on your mind and soul, don’t you think?  
Obsessed is too strong of a word, he seems to be fascinated with who she is and what she’s all about.   He poses no threat to her; he had a chance when he waited for her on the steps.   But yet, she made it out just fine.   Now towards other people that’s a different case.   I do believe he assaulted the Reverend.   What are the odds he gets attacked soon after his confrontation with Schgeloff?   Kethy probably did it in her honor and because the Reverend was...
