Homework on weekends as been a part of a students’ life for centuries. But it can become a burden in many young individuals lives. Weekends are for you not to do anything school related, and many students may not have the time to accomplish homework on weekends. Homework on weekends is not a good idea. One reason for students not to have homework on weekends is because they may not have the time to accomplish it and or may have many occupations during the two-day break. Firstly, students may have part time jobs that they go to on weekends to pay, most of the time, for a college/university degree and may find very difficult to juggle the two, for having a part time job can be very tiring. Secondly, homework on weekends may result in less family time including long weekend trips or dinners. Both of the students parents may work long shifts during the week and the only time that they may actually socialize with their children is on weekends, but they cant because their child is busy doing his or her schoolwork. Thirdly, the student may have an extracurricular activity, or frequent the gym, and or the student may have a sport activity to attend to. Not every student is a bookworm and likes to stay inside the house all the time. Some like to practice sports and stay active and some like to go to the park and sit on the grass. All of these activities are not possible for many student because they have to be home, buried in books and completing assignments. Another reason that students shouldn’t have homework on weekends is because they are intended for students to relax and have nothing to do or worry about for school. Firstly, weekends are the days for a student to relax and not worry about their schoolwork and assignments. Weekends are stress free days that should be taken advantage of by students that get worked up over all the homework that they do during the weekdays. Secondly, weekends are for students to spend time with their friends. Some

With the usual due date being the day after the work gets handed out, students are forced to cram all their homework into their busy schedules. Most students have afterschool jobs or are too busy completing chores to do their homework. Some might be working late depending on their age, others could be babysitting or out of town, leaving no time to get the homework completed. Too much homework could also lead towards too much stress. In fact, a study last year showed that the impact of excessive homework on high schoolers included “high stress levels, a lack of balance in children's lives and physical health problems” (Wallace). If schools convert to a four-day school week, it would be less stressful for students since they would have more time to complete the…

It covers four categories of mental illness: severe mental impairment, mental impairment, psychopathic disorder and mental illness. Psychopathic disorder relate to people who have a "persistent disorder or disability of the mind" which leads to aggression. The Act allows people considered to be mentally ill to be detained in hospital and given treatment against their will. They are usually detained because it is considered in their interests and for their own safety, but they may be held because they are deemed a risk to others, but they do not have to of committed a crime of harmed anyone. Medication for mental disorder can be prescribed and administered to some categories of patients detained under the Mental Health Act without their consent for a period of three months. After that, medication can be administered only in certain circumstances. The Act allows for detention for several different periods. People can be detained against their will for 28 days if two doctors agree to their committal, usually for patients being detained for the first time for assessment. Patients may also be detained for up to six months, but this requires the consent of the person's nearest relative. This order can be renewed after six months and then annually. Patients can also be admitted under an emergency order on the recommendation of a doctor. Patients that are detained voluntarily can be prevented from leaving if they are still deemed a risk to themselves and the public. The Act covers other orders, including guardianship and people detained as a result of a criminal trial.…
