|GDP hit a ten-year high                                                                                                                   |
|Vietnam’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is estimated to grow 8.16% on year to  a ten-year high in the first nine months of this year.       |
|Whilst GDP in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased 3.02%. GDP in the industry and construction sector rose by 10,15%,   |
|GDP in the service sector expanded 8.54%. Compared to the fist nine months in 2006, the growth rate of the former sector is not high due   |
|to lower food production and lower breeding yield caused by epidemic disease outbreak in many localities. Meanwhile, the latter sectors   |
|recorded a relatively growth rate. It is notable that the country’s GDP consecutively surged by 7.73% in the first quarter, by 7.98% in   |
|the second quarter, and 8.69% in the third quarter. Given the best endeavours of sectors and localities, the GDP in the last quarter of   |
|this year is projected to go up in the range of 9-9.5%, leading to a bounce of  8.4-8.5% in the country’s GDP, attainting a target of     |
