Smith and Johnson, LLC is a national leader in the financial software industry for schools. Used extensively by school districts to manage their accounting and payroll needs, Smith and Johnson’s solutions enable users to be more efficient, more accessible, and more responsive to the needs of their citizens and students.
The Software Implementation Specialist will be a member of the Implementation and Training Department. They will work with clients on a day-to-day basis, providing customized and detailed training across all Smith and Johnson product lines. They will also work closely with internal Sales and Customer Support teams collaborating on projects and providing status of open projects.
The role of the Human Resource department is quite extensive in the life cycle of hiring and training a Software Implementation Specialist. The company has a new vision and goal of attaining the best staff possible but implementing new tools to the Human Resource department. The job analysis for each software implementation specialist has been re-written, new selection tools will be offered, orientation over-all for new employees has been revamped, and lastly specific training courses will be offered for the Software Implementation Specialist position.
The position for the Software Implementation Specialist has been analyzed by an outside team of consultants, Smith and Johnson will continue to use this team of consultants as an ongoing way to insure the job description for this position are current and accurate. The consultant team worked directly with the Human Resources department, as well as Project Managers for the implementation team, and with the current implementation specialists themselves. This allowed the consulting team to gain a detailed accurate description for the qualifications and responsibilities for the job. Following is the newly proposed job description for this position.
