The Issue: Should party hosts be held liable for the drinking and driving of their guests?



Introduction:


Many laws have been reinforced to how much control the

Government has allowed over peoples personal choices. Especially since the early 1800\'s which

the reform movements played a big factor. I think that the government was in a very important

situation because this law that they were enforcing was going to play a big factor for the next

century.

Thesis:

In the situation of Mr. Murphy buying the twelve half-kegs for his child graduation party, I believe that he should be held for the responsibility of the incident. Even though he did the right thing of taking the teenagers keys he still forgot one and that is all it took. I believe that there are many different degrees of this situation. What I mean by that is an adult supplied alcoholic beverages and also supplied hospitality where the teenagers could drink the alcoholic beverages; In this case I believe that Mr. Murphy should be held accounted a hundred percent the cause of this situation.
I believe that 8 out of 10 times the person who supplies the hospitality for a place for
someone to drink will be the cause of the situation. The main question is would that person been able to become intoxicated if they didn’t have a place to drink at. I believe that many people should be more strict about how if they want to have a party.


These are some recommended ways of doing so (recommended by The MADD:

Ø Don\'t let your guests mix their own drinks. Choosing a reliable \"bartender\" will help you keep track of the size and number of drinks the guests consume.


Ø Prepare plenty of food so guests will not drink on empty stomachs. But, avoid too...
