SUBJECT: Recommended hiring guidelines for a broadcast technician engineer

In the stressful environment of live broadcast transmissions and the competitive business of reporting news, hiring a knowledgeable broadcast technician engineer is one of the most important functions of our company. Having a competent broadcast technician can greatly improve the time it takes to prepare for a live broadcast. I believe the more rapidly we can report the news, the higher our ratings will be and the more loyal our viewers will become to our company. Therefore, in reply to your request for hiring guidelines, I have decided on the four following recommendations for you to consider:
1. Advertise the job openings in a frequently seen form of media.
2. State specific requirements a candidate’s résumé must contain.
3. Set up an interview with potential candidates.
4. Make arrangements for training in preparation for live event transmissions.

WE SHOULD ADVERTISE JOB OPENINGS
In order to attract qualified candidates, we need to advertise the job openings in a source that may be commonly viewed by broadcast technicians. Examples of possible sources include newspapers, television job listing channels, and online job posting databases specifically designed for the broadcasting or engineering field. By advertising the job openings in various forms of media, the opportunity for attracting highly qualified candidates greatly improves. With the internet becoming an integral part of everyday life and with broadcast engineers being technologically savvy, CNN can especially increase its chances of finding the best applicant by advertising on the online job posting database.
