Hip Hop Bad?

Hip Hop was orginally founded in the Bronx in the 1970's. A Dj by the

name of Kool Herc moved from Kingson, Jamaica to New York. There, he

recited phrases over uptempo beats and created hip hop. His creation was a

phenomenon   and quickly erupted throughout the states. Hip hop then was

very inspiring and all made out of fun and enjoyment. As Hip hop develops,

it erupts into an era of street violence and fame.

  Rap Artist such as 2 Live Crew and Eminem refer to women as " B******"

and provoke women/Domestic Violence. Eminem constantly writes about

murdering his ex-wife Kim in his lyrics. Eminem claimed it was just a way

to get over his rough relationship. 2 Live Crew Lyric states "The girl

would say 'stop' and I'd say 'I'm not" provoking women violence through

rape.

  Other Rappers promote gang related violence and drugs. Snoop Dogg writes

his lyrics involving himself with the "crip gang". The Game, another rap

artist too expresses his involvement in the "blood gangs" and drug abuse.

Most artist like to include marijuana in there lyrics. This open the minds

of many fans which lead to experiencing drug abuse.  

  Hip Hop was fun way to get out of the streets. Now people try to get

into the industry just for money and fame. Teens are inspired by artists

music videos as they witness the shiny cars, big cribs, and all the women

to choose from. This turns to a race to the top as rap artist battle on

who has the better materialistic things. they lost the true meaning of hip

hop.

  Hip Hop has become the official gateway to the youth's understandment.  

Teens can constantly listen to vulgar lyrics and will refuse to listen to

gospel. They can easily devour the words of an explicit verse and cant

even remember a scripture. "Holy Hip Hop" era occurred. This was a

collaberation with hip hop and the church, mixing spirituality with the
