HEDGE FUNDS AND ROLE OF REGULATING BODIES
ABSTRACT

Thus the hedger is indifferent to the movements of the market as a whole, and is interested only in the performance of the 'under-priced' security relative to the hedge. Holbrook Working, a pioneer in hedging theory, called this strategy "speculation in the basis, where the basis is the difference between the hedge's theoretical value and its actual value (or between spot and futures prices in Working's time).
Drawing on various findings, we examine the coherence of Hedge Funds and its policies to support and enhance performance. Through a perspective on structure and strategies we aimed to disseminate different usages and selection of apt strategy from a whirlpool of risk strategies, we situate our findings in two diverse areas: the hedge funds as investment option and regulations and intricacies involved in it. Our chosen organizations indicate that, whilst attaching importance of right input right investment in right hedge caters to high risk but also gives high return, the hedge fund consistently translate its importance into coherent policies exploring the measurement of innovation, with regard to risk taking ability.
