Today there are many chronic diseases; the most common chronic diseases out there are heart disease, diabetic, cancer, and obesity. There are thousands of adults who has been diagnose with a chronic disease, because of the way they eat and do not exercise properly. Even their children eat the same way, where the children are becoming to be obesity. So, when the adults get diagnose, they start eating healthier, and the children do not like it. Adults and children are getting diagnose more every day, because people supposable do not have enough time to go home and cook a healthy meal, instead they go through a drive through or order pizza. (That is why we call this the fast food nation.) We all should take our time and pay attention to the nutrition by reading the labels and start eating healthier. Adults need to eat healthier for the nutrition that will help reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and helps the detoxification; which eliminating and neutralizing the toxins in the body. Everyone can start eating healthier by changing the way we eat at the work places.
In the process of healthful eating, they will need to know information on nutrition, like the pyramid and the nutrition labels. The pyramid has six groups; grains group, vegetables group, fruits group, milk group, meat and beans group, and oils group. (Nutrient rich foods coalition (2007-2008)) In the grains group it has B vitamins, minerals and fiber which helps reduce heart disease and some cancer. They need about three ounces of grains a day. In the vegetables group it has potassium, folate, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, and fiber which helps reduce heart disease, type two diabetes, and certain cancers. They should eat five servings of vegetables a day. In the fruit group it has potassium, folate, vitamin C, and fiber which help reduce heart disease, type two diabetes, and certain cancers.
