EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The case is titled ‘Health care search and Evaluation for Children’. It deals with the decision making process of people while selecting a particular health care provider for children aged under 18 years. The health care providers have been segregated as generalist and pediatrician. We have analyzed the case with regards to the information search, involvement levels, demographic effects and sources of information used in this particular consumer decision process. The analysis is based on the survey conducted in Arkansas by University of Arkansas.

INTRODUCTION:
This case primarily deals with the primary child health care and the attitudes of the people in taking their children for treatment to general physicians, pediatricians, family physicians and mid-level practitioners (physical assistants and nurse practitioners). Child health care is of little different genre from general medical treatment and requires specialization to some extent.
