Having a University Degree
Having a university degree

Is it worth to study and spend a lot of the best time of your life for a university degree?

One advantage is that you have a lot of reputation with an academic title, it can be very useful if you looking for a job. Also officials use another handling if you have a university degree. Another point is that you meet a lot of people at the university; the most of them are very intelligent. At a later time a few of them may be very popular or important. It could be very helpful if you get a good connection to them. Last but not least don’t forget the fact that you are earning much more money than a standard worker. For a lot of people I think that is the most important reason for studying.

But there is also another side; one disadvantage is for example the long time you need for studying. And in my opinion the time between 20 and 30 is the best time of your life. On the other side if you are working you also spend the most time of the week at your working place. That brings me to the subject of money. University costs a lot of money and it’s very hard to work and study at the same time. I think it’s very exhausting to manage this, specific if your parents or other relatives don’t support you.

In conclusion, there are pros and cons. But I think the pros are a more than the cons. If you get the chance to make your university degree, do it. I for one will do it, if there is no bigger

Scott Carlson’s Article How to Assess the Real Payoff of A College Degree, shows his point of view on college and if it is worth all the hard work, time, and debt. Carlson explains between two different views on this subject. He discusses the differences between how college can be worth the payoff and how also it can be a waste of time. In his article he writes about does not necessarily his experiences but the experiences of others. People of all kind go to college and only some make it out on top. Some people end up going and just dropping out and/or not using their degrees in the way it was intended to be used in. Scott Carlson tends to lean more towards the viewpoint of how college is worth all of the work, time, and money. Carlson interviews an abundant amount of people and has them tell whether they believe that college is something people should go through to get what they want or need, or whether they should just do it all on their own. He interviews people that make it through all the way and also people who just cannot finish. Over all the people that Carlson talk to and put into his surveys and experiments, more people lean more towards the same solution as Carlson. They believe that college is worth everything that you put into it in the end. Going to college and getting a degree that is worth making good money and have a nice steady job will be worth the work you put into it as long as you follow what you are doing in college after college. Once you change course you start losing all opportunity that you have put in the path that you have taken.…

It gives you extra money and who doesn't love that. You can pay off your debt so when you graduate you have nothing to pay back when you're ready to start your career. You will also have a list of reference at your disposal, for example I will have over a dozen nurses that would give me an outstanding reference. You will build up job experience, so you know what to do in the career field of your choice. You will also have a jump on people that are fresh out of school with no exp. This experience will put you ahead of your peers and the people you are competing with for the job. Jobs after college will be easier to get, for example if I wanted to get a job at HRMC they would most likely hire me before others because of my experience and because I’ve worked there and know how things are run and from working their they would pay for or help pay for my school work. In the end working while in college is one of the best things you could do for your future. I can’t emphasize that enough. Even if it’s only a few days out of the month or on weekends. Don’t be lazy and embrace your future and take…

I agree with this article that sometimes a college degree might not be the right option for a person to pursue. In the speech made by Sir Ken Robinson called “Changing Education Paradigms” he talks about the ability to think openly and creatively being more important than being taught facts or knowledge. This article discusses that too when it talks about there being better ways to learn a trade in some instances than to earn a college degree. If you are more focused on earning a college university degree than you are about learning how to do something effectively, you might not realize that there are better ways to do things. Liz Addison also confirms this when she explains that a two year college degree can give people the basic knowledge…
