The Harry Potter series of books, by author J.K. Rowling, has become one of the most popular series of books for children ever published. Even though this series is so popular, there are people who believe that the books should not be read in schools. Harry Potter books have attracted a lot of controversy about their use in schools and churches. Some people feel that they shouldn't be read, either because they might promote witchcraft, or just because there are better choices for middle school reading. The wildly popular Harry Potter book series has caused controversy for many families over the past several years. These novels according to some critics are harmless, adventurous, children's tales. Others choose to portray them as stories that inspire children to become involved in the occult and serious witchcraft.
During this day and time there are many cool fads that catch on quite quickly and leave quickly as well. Lately there has been one fad that has caught on and it doesn’t seem as if it is going to leave anytime soon. This fad has caused much chaos and controversy throughout America. This fad is called Harry Potter. It seems as if everyone has his or her own opinion on it. Harry Potter started out being a book by J. K. Rowling, intended to entertain children. But somehow it has gotten dragged through the mud and made into a bigger deal than it was until the name Harry Potter is commonly heard on everyday news. Harry Potter is adored by children of all ages, along with adults, for his witty humor and fantasy adventures. Children crave his friendship and magic powers. Harry Potter has swept through the world causing controversy over the positive and negative impacts. J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, which have reached worldwide popularity have an effect on children has not been matched by any other book.
