Since the spring 2004 semester was over, everyone who lived in the dorm had to move out, but I decided to stay and took classes during the summer, so they put me in the different room from where I used to live. In the new room, me and my roommate became friend. I had a chance get to know her more than what I did in the past. We had same thing in common. We most likely loved the same thing, went to the same place, and of course we ate the same kind of food.
One day, me and my friend agreed to go to the place where we always wanted to go, but we never had a chance. We decided to take my car and of course, I was going to be the one who drove. We went a long on I-30, passed Downtown Fort Worth and then we took the exit number 16B and turned left on Beach Street. It took us totally about 30 minutes driving to arrived at this place. It was located in Haltom City. We were so excited because this was the first time for both of us that we had a chance to go to this special place. It was a special place because when you are around this place, you will feel like you are in a different culture. People around were also different. You couldn't find any American around this place. All stores and restaurants were totally different with the stuffs that they sale and the signs that are not in English. Anyways, I tried to find a parking space but, the parking lots were so packed, finally we found one. We walked to the door first thing I saw was the posters that advertised about movie stars and singers I knew for sure that they are not Americans. When we were inside this place, the fishy smell came to my nose I knew exactly it had to be some kind of seafood or fresh meats. So we walked along to see things around. I saw a couple of roasted ducks and BBQ pork. We also saw a lot of vegetables; they were very fresh and different from most vegetables that we have seen in local groceries.
