Great Place
Wimbleton is a great place to be. I like cheese, It is so delicious. once upon a time I went to the zoo and it waS fun. The cheetahs ate my left arm, but that's ok; I still have 3 more. I rode a bear, but then it ate me. Good thing I had my pocket knife with me because I was able to cut a large hole through the bears rectum and slide my way out. It was quite the experience. I almost got pooped on.

Strolling along the boardwalk of The Six Mile Cypress Slough was a memorable experience. This secluded area creates a better view of wild life. Along the boardwalk, we passed lakes and ponds and saw an alligator, a few turtles, two snakes, and anhingas (snake birds). The walk is enjoyable because it is mosquito free and is mostly in shade. I highly recommend this trip to everyone because this ecosystem provides a relaxing and stress-free environment with no interruptions of civilization. The walk is easy and educational and teaches us to take life slow to appreciate what is around us. Even the trees represented calmness as they stay still with their leaves slowly moving in the wind.…

The Wedge If you like to surf or hit the waves, the infamous "Wedge" in Newport Beach is something you have to experience at least once in your lifetime. Although The Wedge isn't classified as a wave, it's actually a 20 foot plus battering ram that was created by sheer intelligence. The way it heaves, throws, and bends behaves in ways other waves can't begin to comprehend. If you look at it up close, you'll notice that The Wedge is a combination of two waves that join together, resulting in a massive slingshot that is capable of sending…

I have lived in Sweet Water for sixteen years. It is not the biggest town, but it is great just the way it is. Sweet Water is small, and you see people you know all the time. People in my town are very nice and also caring. You always see someone giving another person encouragement, or making sure that they have all of the love they need. This is a small town, so of course people gossip, and it gets around quick. Overall, Sweet Water is a great town, and I am going to enjoy my last couple of months here.…

There are many mysterious and fascinating things lurking in the wild that not many of us have a chance to see. If you are going through the woods on a nice hike chances are you’ll find some interesting things. I love hiking through trails in Easton and I always stumble upon cool things like tree carvings and marshes or even ponds that I never knew existed. Annie Dillard, the author of Living Like Weasels had a similar experience when she went through the woods and stumbled upon a little critter she did not expect to see.…

Out of all the places I have ever lived, Amherst has been my favorite. The main reason I love this town is the house I grew up in. When I was four my family moved to Amherst from Georgia. We stayed in a little house and then a couple months later moved into the house I live in now. It is a large old house that sits adjacent to a farm, a forest and a street. It has always been a comforting environment full of family friends sports teams and other people who stop by. What has been even better though is the neighborhood around my house. Especially the farm and forest. My brothers and I have spent a lot of time down at the farm. We walk down to the farm, smelling the smoke of an old John Deere tractor that passed by half an hour ago, and sit in the fields talking about our days and other things on our minds. If we ever got hungry we would pick nearby fennel. Even after we washed it we could still taste the bits of dirt that we didn’t wash off. By the end of our trips our hands would be caked in mud and bits of vegetables that we had been eating. The path we took back to our house was through a forest that is between our house and the farm. The walks through the thick forest were always fun. We loved to make our own paths and see what trees we could climb. We could hear the scuttling of small creatures fleeing and could feel the thorns scraping our bare legs at the same time. Almost every day when I was younger I would explore the forest on the way to the farm. Amherst is my favorite place in the…

This place known so well to me never fails to uplift my spirits after the annual visit my family and I take over summer. The crisp wind and the scent of nature seem to cast a spell on campers, relaxing and relieving them of stress. Tellico Plains, Tennessee might very well be my peace on Earth. I love escaping from the malicious grasp of modern day technology and taking a leap into the wild, with a breath of fresh air to clear my head. It is absolutely rejuvenating to come to this town and live with no connections to the World for a week.…
