As assigned in class, I am stating three personal goals for the semester. Two of these goals correlate to the MBA curriculum outcomes, and the other goal deals with a personal career objective that I wish to achieve by the end of this semester.
Although I was born in the Philippines, I am grateful to be living in America. However, there are times I feel handicapped when it comes to knowledge of the world around me. To remedy this, I intend to talk to at least three international students about how their country works. I’d like to know more about their culture, economy, and their outlook on America as a whole.
Another problem I have that must be resolved by the end of this semester is my lack of time management skills. I am quite spontaneous and honestly believe it is best to live life as one blank page at a time. However, this outlook nurtures procrastination. It would benefit me to start keeping a schedule so I can divide my workload into little sections, instead of failing to do assignments altogether.
Finally, I would like to start looking at potential sites in which to do my residency in. Residency is an important part of the Healthcare MBA, so I want to be able to give my resume to five hospitals, and interview with at least one by the end of this semester.
