You hear in the news all the time about global warming and the effects that it has on you and your family and other things around you. Have you ever wondered about global warming and what we can do to stop it?
It will take every human on this planet global warming. We are all the cause and we need to change what we are doing now, for later, it might just be too late to stop the effect that we have caused, but we might be able to reduce the damages from getting any worse on us or the planet, this really needed to start like yesterday so to speak.
Here are some of the things that are causing the global warming effects on the earth in which humans caused.
1. Carbon dioxide from cars, planes, trains and buildings
2. Deforestation
3. City Gridlock
a. It is said that drivers in Los Angeles and New York alone wasted 600 million gallons of gas annually while just sitting in traffic (San Francisco Chronicle, December 10,n 1996)
While all this is something that we humans caused and do every day, when we get in our cars and drive to work, the last thing that we have on our mind sitting at the red light is, “look at what I am doing to the environment”. We are so wrapped up in our everyday lives that we don’t think about turning off the water while brushing our teeth and we don’t think about it when writing that letter to our families, that the trees were cut down for the paper that we use, and lastly we don’t think about the chemicals that we use in our house to clean where we live and about the going into the water supply. If you look there are a number of cities coming up in the news about how the water is contaminated by prescription drugs being flushed in the toilet. So people need to really stop and think about stuff that they put in the water because this is proof that the water is reused from the swage to lakes. While the chemicals are being dumped there also the fumes going up into the atmosphere causing the pollution.
