Although this may seem like a great idea to many, there is always an opposing group. However, scientists can develop something that could satisfy both groups. For example, if one digs deeper into germline manipulation, how germ cells pass down DNA, then they will see that scientists could possibly prevent “fake” humans from reproducing with actual humans (Epstein). And, if they can prevent sexual reproduction, then they can still allow edited humans to be able to reproduce, as they only had genetic diseases removed. Somatic cell manipulation is manipulation of the cells that do not pass on DNA (Epstein). So, the process is the key to creating a safer society with super soldiers in the future.
