Work Team Effectiveness GeneOne shows its performance criterion by eradicating disease in tomatoes and potatoes. This shows that the group is satisfying clients and customers. GeneOne will continue to satisfy its clients with new technology.GeneOne is having issues with the viability of its work team. Michelle and Teri do not get along. One employee has already resigned. Two of the board members do not believe everyone on the leadership team has the qualifications to lead GeneOne into an IPO. "Two effectiveness criteria for work teams are performance and viability. The performance criterion is met if the group satisfies its clients/customers. A work group is viable if its members are satisfied and continue contributing." (Kreitner & Kinicki, 2003, ch. 13, p. 45).
High Performance Teams GeneOne has all of the necessary attributes to be a high-performance team. All of the team members want the same thing ~ growth. The high communication must continue between all of the team members to figure out what is best for the company. Disagreements are normal in teams. The team needs to work through its issues to reach the best scenario. "The eight attributes of high performance teams are:· Participative leadership· Shared responsibility· Aligned on purpose· High communication· Future focused for growth· Focused on task· Creative talents applied· Rapid response," (Kreitner & Kinicki, 2003, ch. 13, p. 47).
