Galileo

Galileo was an Italian scientist who was born in 2/18/1564. He was a Tuscan Italian physicist, mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher who was a big role in the scientific revolution. Galileo improved the telescope and Galileo has been called the "father of modern observational astronomy. His contributions to "observational astronomy" are the discovery of the four biggest satellites of Jupiter, which are called the Galilean moons.

Galileo was the first of six children of Vincenzo Galilei who was a famous lutenist and theorist. When Galileo was eight he and his family moved to Florence and was left with a man called Jacopo Borghini for about two years. He then went to school in the Camaldolese Monastery at a place called Vallombrosa which was thirty three kilometers south of Florence . For a while in school Galileo thought about becoming a priest for a long time, but later studied for a medical degree at a university called the University of Pisa because that is what his father wanted him to do. Although Galileo tried hard at the degree he didn't finish it but instead studied Math very hardly. Later, in 1589 he had become the chair of mathematics in Pisa. Sadly, in 1591 Galileo's father had died tragically and Galileo was sent to live with the care of his young brother Michelagnolo. In the year 1592 Galileo deided to go to the University of Padua and there he taught Geometry, Mechanics and of course astronomy. Later Galileo stopped teaching there in the year of 1610, in this time Galileo had discovered some very important discoveriesin science like Kinematics of motion and such. He also added information to Strength and he had improved the telescope a lot. By this time Galileo was very interested in astrology.  

Galileo was a was a very strict Catholic but he had some imperfections that wasn't in catholic law, Galileo had three children who were born before Galileo was born, although he was not married he was in love with a woman called Marina...
