iii. Possible incapacity of current computers used by the accounting department
c. Identify alternatives. List all possible solutions. These could range from doing nothing to contracting with an outside company to handle the accounts receivable function
i. The deliveries of invoices and statements, as well as application of late charges, should be watched closely by those in charge and assure that there will be no delays in sending them to customers. If there is a need to add more people in order to do this, they should do so.
ii. Improve the accounting software used on a computer and regularly perform upgrades and maintenance in order to prevent delay of invoices and statements that are sent to customers, and ensure that late charges are applied and up to date. Also, for more efficiency, employees that specialize in the use of this software should be hired or trained. If the company is not making use of any, they may adapt to this especially since dedicated accounting applications are more reliable and efficient to use.
