Functions of Public Relations Paper
a. Prepare a 1,050-1,400-word paper in which you explain the organizational (internal) and societal (external) functions of PR. You must use at least two credible, external resources (e.g. professional organization, textbook, journal articles, etc).

1. Organizational Functions
a. They must understand the attitudes and concerns of community, consumer, employee, and public interest groups and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with them and with representatives from print and broadcast journalism with these functions:
i. Media
ii. Community
iii. Consumer
iv. Industry
v. Governmental relations
vi. Political campaigns
vii. Interest-group representation
viii. Conflict mediation
ix. Employee and investor relations



b. Select an organization with which you are familiar, and identify and describe an issue or issues within that organization that would have both organizational and societal implications.
c. For the selected organization, explain why you selected this (these) issues and explain how you would address both the organizational and societal audiences for that organization.
