Introduction
In the environment of hustle and bustle as well as with the rapid development of technology, the behaviour of consumer, in this day and age, has changed rapidly. People now are pursuing a life style with convenience and efficiency.
Therefore, to develop a technology that satisfies people’s needs and makes their life easier is one of the important missions of some high-tech industry. Developed by Sony, FeliCa technology is the one that oriented to customer’s needs. This technology provides a fast, secure and convenient all-in-one solution platform for multiple applications, including electronic pre-paid transitions, access, interactive signage and membership or loyalty rewards systems (Sony, 2008).
This report, firstly, introduces the main component of FeliCa technology and the way it works. Following, two examples of product currently applying this technology is being presented. And then, it provides explanations on how the organizations improve its business performance by using this technology. After representing the main concept and usage of FeliCa technology, the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat that FeliCa technology brings about are being analyzed. Finally, this report draws a future vision of this technology.
