1.Compare and contrast Communism and Nazism as ideologies.
- Communism and nazism are similar because they are both totalitarian ideologies. Both Ideologies believe
that the government should have full control over their people. Both Ideaologies are fully government regulated and the people have no say about the government. These ideologies are also different because communism was practiced by many countries, while nazism was only being utilized in Germany.
2. Describe the problem that Mr. Neuendorf has with the traditional labeling of the political spectrum.
- The problem Mr. Neuendorf had with the original political spectrum is that it was difficult to distinguish the positions of each ideology and merged many different ideas and made them seem similar. For example many people believe
d that communism can fall under a conservative idea, while conservatives knew the two ideologies where not similar at all in their beleifs.
3. How would Mr. Neuendorf recreate the political spectrum with regards to labeling? draw the spectrum that he describes.
- Mr. Neuendorf would recreate the spectrum by using a political spectrum that many conservatives currently use. All totalitarian governments would be on the far left such as Communism, Nazism, and Fascism. supporting government. Anarchists would be on the right because they support having no government control at all.
