Essay On Crime Scene Investigator
A Crime Scene Investigator, CSI, helps law enforcement by collecting the evidence at the scene and processing it to catch the criminal. A CSI does many things, such as, sketching the perpetrator from a description of the witness, photographing the scene, and collecting fingerprints and DNA. (Crime Scene Analyst) They are held responsible for making sure the evidence is collected thoroughly and can stand up in court for prosecution of the culprit. They can choose whether to take an oath and become an officer to make arrests or not. Education required for becoming a CSI range from a GED to a Bachelor degree, depending on if you are wanting to be a CSI for a state or federal level. You also must be at least 21 years of age and a US citizen. (Crime Scene Investigator) You should have a higher standard of morals and can be able to keep a certain composure at a horrific crime scene. All Crime Scene Investigators are required to have on the job training before they can be on their own, as well. If something should happen, you need to be able to drop everything you are doing and work the case. I realize that I can’t catch all the offenders, but I can strive to collect the evidence and let it speak to me, almost guide me in the right direction. At first my major was business even though I knew my passion was to become a Crime Scene Investigator. I changed my major against the wishes of my eldest brother but I feel I made the right decision for myself. I haven’t figured out which college I want to transfer to after I am done with my two years here, it is between CMU and Columbia College. If I graduate with my Bachelors and can do what I love, then I feel that is all that
