There are various words that we use throughout the day that usually have another meaning than the way we are using it when we say it. A prime example of one of these words is live. Live is a very simple word but the American language uses it two different ways. The first way we are going to talk about is the verb type of the word. The word live is a very popular word that has one general definition. It also relates to many other words that are similar to it. The word live comes from the word life, which is a very meaningful word to our world and our life is the most precious thing we have. Coming from the word life, already shows how powerful the words live is, because of how it comes from such an already powerful word.
Our society uses this word in different meanings at certain times. One word is used as a verb while the other is used as an adjective. This word is one of the most frequently used acronyms throughout the world, because it has such a worldly meaning and everyone knows what you are trying to express while using this word. While I was reasearching this word, I saw that John Hawthorne Naites, was the first person to express using this word for two separate meanings. I am not sure if that is fact or just hearsay but I support that conclusion.
Our society is so strange; we use one word to express two different meanings at the same time. The second usage of this word is the adjective part. Our society uses this word as an adjective. We use this word in this way as if something was alive. We would say live animals, live ammunition, or a live grenade. We use this word in this style of speech to express the action of the animals or ammo. We are expressing that they are still living and still able to move and other such things.
