Energy Conservation has been on the agenda for congress for quite some time. The need to conserve energy is more important everyday if we don’t stop to think about what we are doing or how we can help the environment maybe not in our lifetime but our children will have a harder time trying to correct what should have been.
There are all types of things that contribute to the overuse of certain energies like driving your car, cooking, taking out the trash and items we buy at the store. The major problem with all these things is that these are things we do on a daily basis it’s just trying to figure out how to be more efficient.
The use of gasoline and crude oils has reached an all-time high and has made a few people extremely wealthy while the rest of us become broke. Our dependency on foreign oil has caused a lot of problems not only for the consumer but also for the environment. Because oil for gasoline is made from crude oils and fossil fuels these items is something that can not be replenished quickly but in fact take thousand of years to create.
Crude oil seems to not only have an effect on the human race but also the ecosystems and birds and other animals that depend on forest land. When these companies who

manufacture these oil products often send the waste into nearby bodies of water killing off animals and feed for other animals. Most time there are no consequences for companies who relieve there waste into bodies water which often time cause those that live closest to it to become sick.
The living factors that are affected by the use of these fossil fuels are humans. Because the environmental impact occurs from the human use such as automobiles, lack of recycling, and oil drilling as a whole. These events occur from the drilling and overuse of resources that are nonrenewable. The burning of fossil fuels has caused a 25% increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere...
