Some people believe that the Television and the media is a big factor in our growing

violent behaviors. They say that children practice some of these behaviors and grown

insensitive to violent crimes against others. Many others believe that television is not really

good factor for the increase in violence because, most people do got a good sense in reality. I

believe that violence do got some effects on our behavior depends on their mind stability and

if they can really relate to the characters.


In June 29 2005 a man from Brisbane Australia had killed his two–year-old daughter

and a police officer and injured five other people including his wife. His wife claim before the

bloodbath he was watching and rewinding a television series called Tour of Duty (A War

Drama). He played some scenes over and over again. One of the scenes was of a violent

attack on troops. The Brutal attack was brought on by more then just television but it did

trigger a reaction against his reality.

According to the 1982 report by the National Institute of Mental Health, Psychological

research has shown three major effects of seeing violence on television; Children may become

less sensitive to the pain and suffering of others and may be more fearful of the world around

them. Children may be more likely to behave in aggressive or harmful ways toward others.

Research says that children that watch violent shows are less sensitive and more immune to

violent act that happen in real life then kids who watch shows with no violence at all.
